Two Great Speakers Coming to Kansas in April!

Johnson County will have the privilege of hosting Tina Payne Bryson, PhD, in April 2020 for a FREE workshop! Dr. Bryson has co-authored several books with Dan Siegel, MD, about brain development and the parent-child relationship. She will be speaking to parents in the evening of April 20th, and professionals on April 21st, at the Hilltop Conference Center in Overland Park. These presentations are being sponsored by Friends of Infant Toddler Services of Johnson County, Wyandotte County Infant Toddler Services, and Blue Valley Parents As Teachers. On April 30, the Kansas Association For Infant Mental Health (KAIMH) has invited Mona Delahooke, PhD, to speak at the conference in Newton about how to understand the challenging behaviors of young children. Dr. Delahooke has dedicated her career to promoting compassionate, relationship-based neurodevelopmental interventions for children with developmental, behavioral, emotional, and learning differences. She is the author of Beyond Behaviors: Using Brain Science and Compassion to Understand and Solve Children’s Behavioral Challenges (PESI, 2019), and Social and Emotional Development in Early Intervention: A Skills Guide for Working with Children (PESI, 2017).
